Ghana (Bluecrest University College) Mass communication students tour parliament house
Students of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at BlueCrest University College have paid a visit to Ghana’s Parliament House to familiarize themselves with the work of the legislators within the chamber and at the committee level. The students recount their experiences after the visit:

The opportunity to interact with some parliamentarians and the parliamentary press corps was a great experience. As a journalism student, getting to know about how the press works in the house was enlightening.

A visit to the parliament house was a thrilling experience. The opportunity to interact with the Minority leader and the parliamentary press corps was an eye-opener. I look forward to another visit in the near future to learn more.

Though you can see all the proceedings live on TV, being in the same space is a beautiful experience.

The visit enabled me to gain a better appreciation of parliamentary proceedings. It also afforded me the opportunity to interact with some of the Parliamentarians including the Minority Leader of the House.

We had a briefing from some Members of Parliament and I understood how parliament functions, including the processes a bill goes through before it is passed into Act.
