Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Russia) Absolute victory at ICPC NERC for the Phystech team!

The results of the ICPC programming competition among students in the Northern Eurasian region (NERC) have been summed up. From December 6 and 7, 268 teams took part in three venues in Russia, Kazakhstan and Georgia. 5 MIPT teams took prizes, and the MIPT Yolki-palki team became the absolute leader of the championship.

MIPT students showed the best result and took the absolute first place: MIPT Yolki-palki team (Vsevolod Nagibin, Denis Mustafin, Tikhon Evteev). They will represent Phystech in the ICPC finals in November 2023. The following MIPT teams were also awarded medals:

  • MIPT Log-rank conjecture: Alexander Shekhovtsov, Anton Sadovnichy, Andrey Efremov – silver medal and the best result of solving problem D!
  • MIPT SkyFall: Surkov Vyacheslav, Peregudov Sergey, Bely Anton – silver medal
  • MIPT Machula’s fun club: Nikolay Tretyakov, Maxim Gaponov, Valery Zgursky – bronze medal
  • MIPT Emil, we are with you: Anikin Sergey, Divilkovsky Maxim, Savvateev Mikhail – bronze medal

The teams were trained by the coach of the MIPT teams, the methodologist of the Moscow Pre-Finals Workshop 2022, the associate professor of the ATP FPMI Philip Rukhovich and the director of the Center for the Development of IT Education Alexey Maleev.
