WASD President chaired and moderated Universities and Sustainable Development Goals 2030 conference
On Monday 22nd January 2024, WASD President, Professor Allam Ahmed chaired and moderated the opening main session of the International Conference “Universities and Sustainable Development Goals 2030 – Targets and Practices” hosted by Majmaah University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

H. E. Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasel (Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in New York)
H. E. Ambassador Luis Galeguis (Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Institute for Research and Training)
H. E. Ambassador Laszlo Molnar (Advisor and Member of the United Nations Experts Panel)
H. E. Ambassador Korösi Csaba (President of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly)
Mr Duncan Ross (Chief Data Officer, Times Higher Education)
H. E. Dr Raja bin Manahi Almarzoqi (Chief Economic Advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, KSA)
His Excellency the Rector of Majmaah University and Chair of the conference Professor Saleh Abdullah Almezal, inaugurated the conference and its accompanying events on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education. Participants in the conference included various universities’ Presidents from KSA and a number of academics and presidents of international universities and higher education institutions from KSA and across the world.
