University of Technology (Iraq) UOT President receive Iraqi Council of Engineering Education Accreditation

UOT President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, received Iraqi Council of Engineering Education Accreditation; it was about Energy and Renewable Energies and the most important difficulties facing the institutional accreditation process in engineering departments.

The meeting was attended by the University of Technology, Assistant President of Administrative Affairs, Prof. Hussain Hamid Karim, Assistant President of Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdel Dahoud, the Head of Electromechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Hisham Selim accompanying staff, Director of Media and Public Relations Department, Dr. Sari Tahsin Rishan, and from the Iraqi Council side, Prof. Dr. Ziyad Suleiman Muhammad Khaled, Chairman of the Council, and the membership of Prof. Fayyad Muhammad Abed from Tikrit University, Prof. Dr. Moath Abdul Wahed Theeb from Al-Mustansiriya University, and Dr. Iman Qassem Abdul Hussein from Baghdad University.

Prof. Dr. Ziyad Suleiman said that the council works as a team whose mission is to evaluate the energy and renewable energies program, as it undertakes the verification and integrated documentation of all activities of the energy branch in the electromechanical engineering department related to a graduate with professional competencies necessary to practice his work as an engineer in energy and renewable energies field.

He added that the process of verifying items as; educational objectives of the program, graduates’ learning outcomes, the curriculum in teaching and learning methods, student assessment, measurement and evaluation processes, and finally, the continuous improvement of students.
