Argentina (University of Palermo) UP among the Best Universities in Latin America
Buenos Aires, June 9, 2022. The prestigious QS World University Rankings 2023 highlighted the University of Palermo for the eighth consecutive year as #1 in Latin America in the indicator of international students, consolidating its leadership as a global University.
Likewise, the UP has been distinguished among the 3 best Argentine Universities , along with UBA and UCA, according to the renowned consultancy firm that classifies universities from all over the world.
“We receive this new distinction with great joy. It is an award to our teachers and to a pedagogical model in which the student is at the center of the educational process. We give students the freedom to choose how to study, combining the best of technology and online education with the close and face-to-face interaction that continues to characterize our learning communities”, said the UP vice-rector, Matías Popovsky.
“Being recognized among the best universities in Argentina and Latin America is ultimately a recognition of our students and graduates, who after going through a training path full of innovation and creativity, create companies, undertake projects and generate employment around the world”, concluded the Vice Chancellor UP.
For its part, this year the world rating was led by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Cambridge, Stanford University, Oxford and Harvard ( see more ). Within the world ranking of universities, UP is located in position 390.
To prepare the ranking, the British consulting firm QS takes into account five different indicators, such as: International students, Academic reputation, Employer reputation, Student-faculty relationship, Citations by faculty and list of international professors.
Year after year, the University of Palermo has been receiving different international recognitions, at the same time that it has carried out important alliances with prestigious entities, thus reaffirming its commitment to quality education.

• The UP Faculty of Engineering develops the University Space Laboratory , together with COPITEC and other public and private organizations.
