Shanghai University (China) Prof. WU Minghong of SHU named CAE member in 2021
On Nov. 18, the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) unveiled the list of this year’s new members. Prof. WU Minghong at the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering (ECE) was named a CAE member, marking a major breakthrough in efforts to build high-performing teams.
Prof. WU Minghong has long committed herself to research and teaching in the fields of collaborative protection and comprehensive management of multimedia (atmosphere, land, water) environments and other related disciplines. To tackle tough challenges in coordinated management of combined pollution in multimedia environments, Prof. WU starts from studying the characteristics of combined pollutant compositions and has made remarkable achievements in the research of environment functional materials and the application of organic combined pollution management engineering.
WU has obtained 65 China national invention patents and published 2 monographs and more than 200 papers in academic journals such as Nature and Nature Chemistry. WU’s papers have been cited more than 26,000 times (besides self-citations) in SCI, making her one of the Highly Cited Researchers 2020 according to global data analytics firm Clarivate.
