Oman (Middle East College) International Conference on Teaching and Learning to be held at Middle East College

Middle East College is organising the International Conference on Teaching and Learning with a special focus on the Digital Transformation of Education and Employability. The conference will take place at the Student Hub on the 15th and 16th of November 2022. The conference aims to bring together leading practitioners and researchers to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the higher education sector, particularly in digital transformation and technology-enabled learning. A key focus will be on the latest practices and initiatives for graduate employability worldwide.

A major focus of the conference will be on theories and practices that will facilitate students’ ability to be agile and take the lead throughout their academic journey post-COVID.

Besides the presentations of research papers and workshops related to the conference theme, the conference will feature keynote speeches delivered by Professor Ian Dunn, Provost of Coventry University, Dr Kiran G.R., Dean of Middle East College, and Dr Enakshi Sengupta, Chair-Business Department, American University of Afghanistan (AUAF).

The event will be held in HyFlex mode (a combination of on-campus and online participation). Paper submissions for the conference are due on 15 Sep 2022. The accepted papers will be published in the highly visible and indexed SHS Web of Conference publication series.

The conference proceedings are expected to lead to the creation of innovative educational frameworks and the strengthening of community and industry collaborations, improving learners’ employability.

Middle East College has an established research culture and rich experience in conducting conferences. The College has successfully organised many international conferences on various trending and technological areas in the past. Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) accredited the college in 2020 with high ratings for Teaching Quality and Research Performance.
