KSA (Umm Al-Qura University) Signing of Cooperation Agreement with the Swiss “La Roche” at the International Labour Market Conference 2025

Umm Al-Qura University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Swiss University of La Roche during the activities of the International Labour Market Conference 2025, held at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh.

The agreement aims to strengthen the academic and professional partnership between the two parties by developing innovative educational and training programs in the fields of tourism and hospitality, which contributes to upgrading the skills of more than 50,000 beneficiaries within the Kingdom.

The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Institute of Research, Studies and Consulting Services, Dr. Mohammed bin Nayef Al-Sharif, and by the Swiss President of La Roche, Benoit Etienne Dominier.

The Dean of the Institute of Research, Studies and Consulting Services, Dr. Mohammed bin Nayef Al-Sharif, stressed that this partnership with “La Roche” comes as part of the university’s continuous efforts to develop quality academic and training programs that meet the aspirations of the Saudi labor market, and enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global center for tourism and hospitality.

For his part, Benoit Etienne Dominet, CEO of the Swiss University of La Roche, said that this agreement reflects the commitment of the two institutions to develop local talent according to international educational standards, which contributes to raising the efficiency of workers in the tourism and hospitality sector in the Kingdom.

This agreement comes under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, which works to strengthen partnerships with international educational institutions to provide advanced educational and training programs, which contributes to raising the efficiency of workers in the tourism sector and meeting the needs of the local labor market with qualified national competencies.

It is worth noting that the Swiss University of La Roche ranks among the top five educational institutions in the world in the field of hospitality and entertainment management, ranking fourth globally and third in Switzerland, according to the QS World Ranking for 2023.
