The Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies The Academy was established in the year (1988 AD) under the name: (The Institute of Graduate Studies for Economic Sciences), in Tripoli – Libya. Management and Organization, Economics), and in the year (1995 AD) Resolution No. (996) was issued, granting a doctorate degree (PhD), and the resolution also stipulated that the Academy teaches all, and the Academy expanded during the previous academic session until it reached (7) scientific schools Which:

1. School of Administrative Sciences Said.

2. School of Humanities.

3. School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

4. Language School.

5. School of Media and Arts.

6. School of Strategic Studies

7. Basic Science School

And with the issuance of Cabinet Resolution No. (167) for the year (2012 AD), the name (Higher Studies Academy) was changed to (Libyan Academy), and its subordination to the Ministry of Higher Education was confirmed.

To be a leading and distinguished radiation centre locally, regionally and internationally in the fields of postgraduate studies, research and consultancy in various branches of knowledge.

Message


The Academy seeks to contribute to achieving the goals and requirements of development by graduating qualified and well-prepared skills in various disciplines, in addition to developing scientific capabilities by linking teaching, scientific research and others to meet the needs of local labour markets. The Academy also seeks to prepare qualified competencies capable of meeting the needs of society and to develop scientific research, especially related to local issues related to sustainable development and seeks to contribute to the enrichment of human knowledge.

Goal

1. Localization of postgraduate learning helps to rationalize the public expenditure on foreign postgraduate learning.

 

2 – Provide opportunities for college graduates who meet the admission requirements to realize their ambition of continuing to receive higher education.

 

3 – It is helpful to meet the needs of universities for teachers in various disciplines and reduce the number of foreign labour in the teaching field of higher education.

 

4 – Provide opportunities for teachers and create an appropriate academic atmosphere to carry out scientific activities.

 

5 – Contribute to increasing the knowledge and human resource development of public and non-governmental institutions.

 

6. Provide an excellent learning and research environment, and cultivate qualified human resources of creativity, thinkers and scientists.

 

7 – Develop new disciplines and plans, develop existing disciplines and plans, and create research institutions synchronized with or needed by sustainable scientific development and social needs.

 

Cultivate a generation of researchers and university professors who can contribute to the development of education and scientific research of the college and the whole society.

 

9。 The principle of continuous self-evaluation and external evaluation shall be adopted in the education plan for sustainable development and development support.
