Bakribi with various programs 18-08-2022 62nd University Foundation Day was celebrated today Thursday in Bangladesh Agricultural University through various program. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr.hoisted the national flag of Bangladesh at the beginning of the celebration of the day. Lutful Hasan and student affairs advisor Professor Dr. hoisted the flag of the university. Khan Md. Saiful Islam and Registrar Md. Chaiful Islam, President of the Teachers’ Association Professor Dr. M. A. Chalam, Proctor Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahir Uddin. Later rally, release of pigeons, wreath laying on Bangabandhu’s portrait at Bangabandhu Memorial Square, plantation of trees and saplings on behalf of the university. Distribution, release of fish fry in the Brahmaputra river adjacent to the University and prayer/prayers in all mosques/places of worship of the University for the development and prosperity of the University are celebrated through various programmes. Zahirul Alam in the speech of the chief guest Vice-Chancellor Professor Lutful Hasan said, today on August 18, we respectfully remember Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. who has pioneered the way of agricultural education by giving first class status to agriculturists on 13 February 1973 . 1975 We lost Bangabandhu on August 15. Later, much time was spent in neglecting agricultural education. In 1996, Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of the Father of the Nation, after taking charge as the Honorable Prime Minister, rekindled the dream of the Father of the Nation and worked for the cause. In 2008, after he took charge of the prime minister again, we have achieved self-sufficiency in food today through various levels of agricultural education research. Today honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to bring material development in the agricultural sector. Bakribi is also working shoulder to shoulder with everyone to realize the spirit of Bangabandhu.
