Morcco (Al Quaraouiyine University) His Majesty’s Visit to Old Schools

Within the framework of the rehabilitation of the old schools surrounding the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah protect him, presided over a ceremony during which the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Tawfiq, gave a focused presentation on the importance of preserving the religious identity that would preserve the constants and foundations, and link the past with the present to foresee the future. His Majesty expressed his interest in all the features and characteristics of Arabic calligraphy and Moroccan ornamentation, after which His Majesty took a picture with the students and professors of this course, and then visited the Applied Classroom and reviewed its contents and the equipment placed by the Presidency of the University at the disposal of students and professors to ensure a better training in this field.

His Majesty has instructed the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and the President of Al-Qarawiyin University to continue to pay attention to all the educational framing needed for training at this future university while providing the necessary capacity to receive new students.

In the same atmosphere of popular enthusiasm, university officials bid farewell to His Majesty the King, calling on him to provide him with health, well-being and longevity as he achieves for his dear people the well-being, progress, prosperity, security and safety they aspire to.
