on the occasion of the 70-day countdown to the 70th anniversary of the school, the university of science and technology beijing “welcomes the 70th anniversary and runs the beijing university of science and technology!” “the global alumni charity run kicked off. the main purpose of the event, sponsored by the alumni association of the university and organized by the global alumni running group of beijing university of science and technology, is to advocate a healthy lifestyle, inherit the sports spirit of beijing university of science and technology, carry forward the public welfare concept of “education and poverty alleviation”, and arouse the extensive attention and active participation of alumni to the 70th anniversary of their alma mater and the development and construction.

as soon as the global alumni charity run was launched, it triggered a positive response and enthusiastic participation of alumni at home and abroad. as of 16:00 on february 21, more than 1,300 alumni from all over the world have formed nearly 200 running teams by class, interest or organization, and the total mileage of running and punching has approached 35,000 kilometers. whether it is the honor-laden long-distance running god or the fledgling running white, at this moment, as the “beike adult”, they encourage each other online, exchange and learn, insist on punching cards and strengthening their health offline, and participate in this enthusiastic activity together, and the running figure is active around the world.

each mileage map contains the simple feelings of beike university of science and technology who loves his alma mater, the solid and rigorous work style, the adherence to the fine tradition of sports, the social responsibility of devoting himself to public welfare, and more alumni have run a funny trajectory, showing the innovative side of beike university.

after the event, with the support of the china guanghua science and technology foundation shuhai project, the school will determine the exchange ratio according to the total mileage of the participating alumni running, purchase books and donate them to qin’an county, gansu province (designated poverty alleviation unit of the university of science and technology beijing), and build the qin’an library of the university of science and technology beijing. teams with a total mileage of more than 70km will receive a certificate, and teams in the top 20 with total mileage will receive a custom medal.

at present, the global alumni charity running activities are still in full swing, and the alma mater looks forward to the active participation of alumni from all over the world to go to a boiling run, share a joyful feast, and run to the 70th anniversary of the alma mater!
