Nigeria (Al-Hikmah University) Vice-Chancellor’s Eid El Fitri Message to the University Community

As Salam Alaekum Waramatulahi Wabarakatuhu.

All Praises are due to Almighty Allah (SWT) the Beneficent, the Merciful.

I feel highly delighted to convey this message of love, appreciation and felicitations on behalf of the Founder, Alh.(Dr.) Chief Abdulraheem Oladimeji, OFR, FNAEAP, fSPSP, the Chancellor, Alh. Sayyu Dantata, Pro- Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Hajia Sekinat O. Yusuf and the University management on the occasion of Lunar Year 1443 A.H. Eid-el-Fitri celebration.

I congratulate members of the University for successfully completing the mandatory obligation of Ramadan which comenved since the past 30 days.

Alhamdulillah, this year’s Ramadan period has been a month of remarkable achievements for our University. These include among others:

(i) JAMB Approval of the University CBT Centre for UTME and other related examinations, followed by the successful conduct of Mock UTME;
(ii) Outstanding performance in the released results of November 2021 NUC Accreditation in which all the 11 undergraduate programmes secured FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS;
(iii) Inauguration of Advisory Committee on the establishment of Medical School;
(iv) Accelerated fenncing of Atere campus;
(v) Near completion of construction of two hostels at Atere and Igbaja campuses; and,
(vi) Signing of Lease Agreement with The Farmers Kitchen for the construction of Bukateria on the University campus.

For the above modest feats and many others, to Allah be the Glory.

The country is going through a lot of economic, social and political challenges. I wish to implore all members of Al-Hikmah University Community to put the affairs of our nation in our prayers at the respective Eid praying grounds. It is also imperative to remind all of the need to be security conscious at all times!

I wish to appreciate all our staff, both academic and non-teaching, for your support, trust, commitment, hard work and dedication to duty. The team spirit that permeates our rank and file as well as the chemistry of understanding among us are enviable. These enviable virtues must be sustained for the purpose of achieving the dream of transformation of our Great University.

To my diligent students, I wish to admonish you to always be of good conduct and obey the University rules and regulations. Note that the University management shall continue to attend to issues bothering on improvement of students welfare. However, we shall maintain our policy of ZERO TOLERANCE TO INDISCIPLINE. Please stay away from all anti-social behaviours including drug abuse, examinations misconduct, truancy and cultism.

I pray to Almighty Allah (SWT) to count us among those who witness many months of Ramadan. Ameen.
