Madagascar (University of Antananarivo) Presentation Of Bachelor’s And Master’s Degrees For The MASOVA Promotion Of Professional Training In Social Work And Development (FPTSD)

The ceremony took place at the DEGS Cathedral under the patronage of Mrs Tang Natacha, Coordinator of Monegasque Cooperation in Madagascar and in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The License has three courses: Specialized educator, Social Service Assistant, and Development Agent and socio-organizer. In the Masters, students have the choice between three courses: Social Policy and Development, Social and Territorial Development, Social Organization – Eco-development and Workplace, and Educational and Cultural Policy.

Social work, according to its international definition, is presented as “a professional practice and a discipline. It promotes change and social development, social cohesion, the development of the power to act, and the liberation of people…”. These graduates will join the professional field by becoming counselor in social and family economy, social coordinator or agent of local development among others. They can join the public sector as well as the private sector.
