Why Supporting Women in Research Matters Now More Than Ever

Our globe is surrounded by diverse challenges including climate change, globe health, food security, water scarcity, energy limitations, loss of biodiversity, poverty and insecurity.  Researchers contribute significantly to identify and design customized solutions to tackle these challenges. However, the research process is becoming a burden for researches due to a variety of limitations and obstacles. Although women researchers made a difference in the research landscape, balancing family responsibilities and social commitments continues to pose an additional challenge. Therefore, supporting women in research has always been a strategic priority to enhance the global efforts in addressing increasingly complex global challenges and this matters now more than ever.
