Lin Xiaodan, an associate professor of the School of Plant Protection of our school, was successfully selected , and received funding from the China Association for Science and Technology.
It is understood that the “Youth Talent Support Project” project was launched by the China Association for Science and Technology in 2015. The project uses awards instead of subsidies and stable support to vigorously support 30-year-old young people with great innovation ability and development potential. Lin Xiaodan, associate professor and master supervisor of the School of Plant Protection, Hainan University, was selected for the 8th China Association for Science and Technology Young Talents Project. Currently presiding over 1 National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, 1 Hainan Provincial Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, and 3 other horizontal projects; the main research directions include: co-evolution of pollinators and plants, origin and evolution of insect absorbing mouthparts, herbivory Insects and plant damage traces and systematic classification of Mecoptera insects, etc. Published a total of 10 academic papers, including 4 SCI papers as the first author, including 1 each in Nature Communications and eLife; authorized 1 utility model patent; published 1 English monograph chapter; won the 9th Young Scientist Award of the Entomological Society of China 5 scientific research awards such as Technology Award, 2019 Science Achievement Award of NMNH, Smithsonian Institution, etc.
