Ghana (Central University) Spiritual Emphasis Week Ends Successfully
As part of activities to mark the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year, the Chaplaincy of the University led this semester’s spiritual emphasis week under the theme ‘Thriving in difficult times’ and this was marked by prayer and fasting sessions for staff and students on all campuse.
Specific times in the day were allocated for corporate prayer sessions for staff while students had their prayer sessions at the prayer garden on Miotso campus.
GOD-LIKE TRANSFORMATION; THE KEY TO THRIVE
Staff and students converged at the Trinity Hall, Miotso on Wednesday 9th November, 2022 to pour out their heartfelt gratitude to God for a safe return to school and for His grace and favour for a successful academic year.
The sermon was delivered by the Vice Chancellor and spiritual leader of the University, Prof. Bill Buenar Puplampu (PHD, FGA). In his short but powerful ministration, he encouraged congregants to listen to the voice of God and allow him to do what He desires in our lives. In tandem with the theme for the spiritual emphasis week, Prof Puplampu admonished everyone to seek personal transformation in three (3) key areas of life in order to survive the storms of life. He charged both students and staff to change what they value, renew their minds and check what they hold as the truth and ultimately model their behaviour to conform to that of Jesus Christ in order to thrive in these difficult moments. He gave an opportunity to those willng to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour to do so.
