Zambeze University (Mozambique)

The Zambeze University (UniZambeze) is a legal entity governed by public law, endowed with legal personality and enjoys scientific, pedagogical and administrative autonomy. UniZambeze was created by Decree No. 77/2007 of 18 December and began its teaching activities on 16 March 2009 offering to the market 16 courses in 6 colleges. The name Zambeze University derives from the Zambeze River that literally crosses the Central Zone of the country, giving it strategic importance for the development of Mozambique and the Southern Region of Africa, due to its enormous potential in mineral, water and biodiversity resources.
