Biography
Altaf is a senior civil engineer with a PhD specializing in sustainable environmental engineering, with a strong academic and research background. Altaf has made significant contributions to sustainable remediation technologies and bioelectrochemical systems, presenting research findings at national and international conferences and publishing a book chapter in Wiley Library.
With extensive experience in climate change and sustainable energy, Altaf collaborates with industry and public organizations on large-scale projects aimed at remediation, renewable energy development, and clean energy transition. These efforts focus on minimizing the environmental impact of oil operations and advancing climate-smart oil and land management solutions.
Altaf also specializes in waste management, particularly in the treatment of landfill leachate and crude oil-contaminated soils, applying advanced remediation strategies. Additionally, Altaf has expertise in biowaste materials, including biochar and hydrochar, exploring their applications in environmental remediation and resource recovery.
