Overview
The University of Parakou is Benin's second state university . It was created in 2001 by decree No. 2001-365 of September 18 of the same year . This decree was supplemented by Order No. 2001-091/MESRS/DC/SG/SP of October 19, 2001 defining its organization and operation. These two administrative acts make the University of Parakou a public institution of higher education, endowed with legal personality and administrative and financial autonomy .
