Henan University (China)

Henan University is a "double first-class" University in China. In 1912, Lin Boxiang and other Henan educators established Henan preparatory school for studying in Europe and America on the former site of Kaifeng tribute Academy in the Qing Dynasty; In 1923, general Feng Yuxiang expanded into Zhongzhou University on its basis; In 1927, it was transformed into the Fifth National Sun Yat sen University; In 1930, it was first named Henan University; In 1942, it was changed to national Henan University with the support of Mr. Yu Youren and others; In 1948, Zhongyuan University was established with the support of Deng Xiaoping and Chen Yi; In 1952, the Department was adjusted and renamed Henan Normal University, and then went through Kaifeng Normal University, Henan Normal University and other stages; In 1984, the name of Henan University was restored. In 2022, the registered place of Henan University was changed from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou.

Henan University has three campuses: Kaifeng Minglun, Jinming and Zhengzhou Longzihu, covering a total area of more than 5500 mu, a construction area of 1.47 million square meters and a collection of 5.2 million paper books; Set up 37 Colleges (Teaching and Research Department) and 98 undergraduate majors; There are 19 mobile post doctoral research stations, 20 first-class discipline doctoral programs, 43 first-class discipline master programs, and 27 master's degree authorization categories; There are more than 4400 teaching staff; There are nearly 50000 full-time students, including 11000 graduate students and more than 800 international students.
