Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (English: ETH or ETH Zurich; German: Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule Zurich (Zurich) was founded in 1854 by the Swiss Federal Government. Together with its sister institution ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology is part of the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, located in Zurich, Switzerland.
