Professor at the Department of Economics & Management of the University of Pisa, where she is also directing the Responsible Management Research Center (REMARC). I am 2017-2018 visiting professor at MIT Sloan School of Management. In her research, she interested in understanding how the private sector (firms, large & small, foreign & domestic) shapes the world where we live – for the better or for the worse. How do firms contribute to diffuse technologies and spark economic development processes? When and under what circumstances are firms detrimental to society? I investigate these and similar questions through an interdisciplinary approach to research and using case studies as much as econometric analyses.
