Biography
Doaa is Professor of Economics and currently Head of the Economics Department and Vice dean for community service and environmental affairs at October University or Modern Sciences and Arts University, Egypt. She holds a PhD in International Economics from Ain Shams University and BSc and MSc degrees from the same university. She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the Political and Economic Association of Egypt and the Middle East Economic Association. She has participated in the Education Development Program for Egyptian Universities and has previously taught at the Ain Shams University and Cairo university and many other private university such German and the British University in Egypt. Her research interests are in the areas of environmental development, institutions, health, inclusive growth and the labour market. Her research has appeared in journals such as Economics and Policy; International Journal of Finance & Banking Studies; International Journal of Green Economics; International Journal of Development and Conflict; and Journal of Economics.
