The University of Aveiro (UA) is a public foundation with a private law regime that has as its mission the intervention and development of graduate and graduate training, research and cooperation with society.

The Mission of the AU is to create, share and apply knowledge, involving the whole community through teaching, research and cooperation with the environment, with a view to making a clear difference to individuals and society. It is a global project based on:
