Overview
Beirut Arab University is one of the institutions of the Bir W Ihsan. It was founded through an initiative by Bir W Ihsan waqf (previously the Bir W Ihsan Association in the Tariq El-Jadideh area) with academic and logistical support from the Arab Republic of Egypt during the era of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. The University, along with a group of pioneering universities in the Arab world, participated in founding the Arab Universities Union. Additionally, the University is an active member in several International, European, and Arab Federations.
