Biography
Dr. Maqsood Mahmud is currently working as a faculty in school of Computing, Ulster University, Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK. He served as an Assistant Professor in Business Analytics Program at Department of Management & Marketing, University of Bahrain. He also worked for six years in Management Information Systems (MIS), Dammam University, Saudi Arabia. He did his PhD at University Technology Malaysia in the field of Information Security Management 2013. He has the experience of teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate courses which is blend of information systems and management. He also supervises master and PhD students. His research interests include Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Techno-Entrepreneurship and Technological Freelancing etc. He is permanent member of IEEE. He published 60+ research articles in reputed conferences and ISI/SCi indexed journals. He has served as reviewer/editors of various international conferences and journals. He worked on five funded projects. He is certified ToT for Web of Science (WoS) Clarivate Analytics, USA. He is also Microsoft and CISCO Systems certified. He is silver medal winner in Malaysia Innovation Expo 2012. He established two start-ups in US (LLC) and Middle East. He is found of delivering national and international talks and he delivered 16 invited talks. Furthermore, he is also holder of two US Patents on commercialization of biometric data/template security and natural language processing.
