I am closely working on youth, urbanization, and different dynamics of gender domain in the Pakistani context i.e. influences of globalization on culture, economy, and politics of Pakistan, world openness via media and modernization and its effects on women and youth, ODL-education & women empowerment, violence, and women status in Pakistan, changing cultural dynamics due to technology and media, and international influences on women political participation in Pakistan are a few among other areas of my academic and research interest. I have 34 research publications, 23 research paper presentations, 02 book publications, and 05 articles in the process of publication.

I have developed courses for different level programs offered by the department including “Essentials of Sociology”, “Demography”, “Social Problems”, “Human Rights”, “Dynamics of Population Change”, “Sociology of Child Rights & Child Development”, “Social Stratification & Inequality”, “Crime Investigation”. Also, developed the new scheme of studies for the M.Phil Sociology program of the department with courses i.e. “Advanced Social Research Methods”, “Population and Development”, “Academic Writing”, “Introduction to Globalization”, and “Social Psychology”. I have written 94 chapters and reviewed 38 chapters/units of different levels of programs of sociology at AIOU.
