Biography
Hung Nguyen is currently the Director of the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) at HUTECH University and the Director of the Project Design Education Center at the University of Economics and Finance (UEF) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He previously served as an Associate Professor at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT), Japan, where he now holds the position of Visiting Professor. He holds a B.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Vietnam National University, College of Foreign Languages (CFL) in Hanoi; an M.A. in TESOL from Saint Michael’s College, USA, sponsored by a Fulbright Scholarship; and an MBA from UEF. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Economics and Management focusing on employee well-being and playful work design at Tomas Bata University in Zlín (Czech Republic).
His professional interests include entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, and the evaluation of SDG alignment in higher education. He is also a certified facilitator in the Introduction to Innovation program by SRI International.
