Biography
Dr. Tagwa Badawe is a Sudanese physician, educator, and community health advocate with over 12 years of experience in clinical medicine, medical education, and public health. She completed her training in internal medicine and currently serves as a cooperative lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kordofan. Dr. Badawe is a volunteer at Khairazzad Humanitarian Organization, a registered NGO focused on strengthen healthcare and empowering health professionals across Kordofan through training, research, and outreach.
She has led several national awareness campaigns on breast cancer, tuberculosis, cervical cancer, and sepsis, with an emphasis on health literacy, capacity building, and sustainable development. Her work integrates medical knowledge with compassion, Islamic values, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3 (Health), SDG 4 (Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships). She is also a Compassionomics Champion awarded by the Altababa Transformation Centre in 2024.
