Biography
Dr. Hiba Abdel Rahman is a Researcher with the Forestry-Gum Arabic Research focusing on Conservation and Improvement of Acacia Senegal genetic resources, Agroforestry and Biodiversity conservation. She joined Elobeid Research Station as research scientist in gum Arabic Research section, engaged in promoting Gum Arabic tree productivity through selection of high yielding provenances and development of new improved nursery and management practices. He recommendations has helped farmers increase gum production yields and sustain productivity of this important exports commodity. Beside her research commitment, she participated as a resources person in developing Agroforestry training modules and extension pamphlets for field days, demonstration farms and extension campaigns. Dr Hiba experiences and input as a team members has also been highly recognized in successfully implemented projects.
