Biography
Md. Habibur Rahman is a “Research Fellow” of Bangladesh Institute of Social Research (BISR) Trust based in Dhaka. He is a ‘Forestry & Environmental Science', and 'Climate Change & Development’ graduate. He has professional experiences in NRM, ecosystem services, biodiversity conservation, climate change, DRR&M, CBA and community development sectors in Bangladesh. Mr. Rahman awarded ‘Youth Researcher Award 2012’ on International Day of Forests 2013 by the GIZ. He has research and consultancy experiences with USAID, IRG, GIZ, JICA, Save the Children, Winrock International, WaterAid, Mott MacDonald, Ernst & Young LLP, CAFOD as well as government departments. He has been awarded research grants from USAID, ICCCAD, BISR, GIZ, Winrock International and government departments to conduct researches on various aspects of forest management, wetland resource management, project planning, development & management, climate change, and DRR&M issues in Bangladesh. He has authored and co-authored of 22+ articles in international peer-reviewed journals along with 3 book chapters and 2 books.
