Biography
Lyndell St. Ville has been mobilizing technology to enhance human interaction and development. He has closed innovation gaps by designing, developing, and strengthening systems in the public and private sectors. His ongoing work in Advanced Information Systems led to improvements in the resilience, reliability and tools used by organisations worldwide including: Trent University in Canada, The Ontario Court of Justice, The U.K. National Health Service, The Guyana Ministry of Public Security, and a variety of local government, health and small business organisations. He consulted with the International Trade Center in developing a national export strategy for Saint Lucia. He is active with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. He established a technology firm Datashore to serve the growing business need for skilled ICT consulting, advisory and development services to help businesses transition to more blended service delivery. He authors the Everyday Computing column which demystifies issues related to the use of technology, and he served as the President of the ICT Association of St. Lucia. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental and Resource Science from Trent University in Ontario, a Masters Degree in Advanced Information Systems from the University of Glasgow, and a PhD from Glasgow which contributed a middleware infrastructure for sharing sensor network data. He is a member of the IEEE, the BCS, SLICTA, and is a Caribbean Development Educator.
