Academic Advisory Positions: Chief Academic Advisor: 'Learning Community, an International Journal of Educational and Social Development' since June, 2010; Associate Editor-In-Chief: Economics Affairs since 2010.
UGC Observer/Expert Committee: Involved as a member of UGC Expert Committee to assess the financial requirements for 11th plan for Colleges in 2010 and to evaluate the performance and academic attainments for the extension of Autonomous Status to Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur in 2011; Involved as UGC Observer to oversee the selection process for promotion from Reader to Professor under Career Advancements Scheme since 2009.
Fellowship/Awards held: Awarded UGC Fellowship to work on M.Phil / Ph.D programme by Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi (for being the top-ranking in economic stream students in the all-India level entrance test held by JNU); Awarded Senior Fellowship for two years by the Government of India to work in the area of Cultural Economics; Awarded "UGC Research Award" (2006) to work in the area of Globalisation and Health (Surrendered).
