I am about to obtain my PhD from the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at Plymouth University. Across the fieldwork of development, socioeconomic and human development investigation economic, social, political and environmental issue related to mega-project especially dams apply his knowledge in project management where he learnt success and failure lessons from international development project in Africa and bridged the gap between theory, practice and finding the best way of assessing this types of developmental projects. This experience allowed investigated policy-makers, experts and local communities’ perspectives and behaviours toward the relationship between megaprojects and socio-economic development and social conflict nationally, regionally and at the affected communities’ level. I successfully applied the principles of socio-economic development to the targeted communities to evaluate the changes and actions regarding positive and negative changes brought by Merowe Dam to their livelihood and living condition. Ultimately, my hard work under difficult and challenging social, economic, political and environmental settings in Sudan resulted in academic career where I am teaching project management and business management at City College Plymouth also work as Wellbeing Workshop Leader and Teaching Assistant at Plymouth University. I am in the process to publish my first papers in International Development Journal to share my finding with international research community. In addition to my work as Diversity Officer at Community Mental Health Team working with asylum, refugees and vulnerable people across the world whom brought to the UK through vulnerable people resettlement scheme, I work closely with local agencies and city council in supporting integration and social coherence in Plymouth.
