Biography
Dr. Al-Hamaq received his Master Degree in Public Health , from school of Medicine and Health Sciences, George Washington University. USA, and his PhD in the field of Public Health , from University of Westminster, London UK. Currently he is the Executive Director of Qatar Diabetes Association- Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. He was elected as the Regional Manger of the IDF/MENA Region on 2010. He was the President of Diabetes in Asia Study Group (DASG) , till 2011. Dr. Al-Hamaq is a fellow of Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), a member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and a member , a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists(AACE) and also the General Secretary for the Gulf Group for the Study of Diabetes (GGSD ) Dr. Al-Hamaq Participates in research activities with weill Cornell Medical College and Hamad Medical Corporation in the field of Diabetes , most of these studies have been published in international Journals.
